People Operations Specialist

What you’ll do as a People Operations Specialist

As a People Operations Specialist, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the People Team. All People processes are in safe hands with you; whether it’s onboarding, performance reviews, absence, contract extensions and exit procedures. Personnel files are an error-free zone; with your sharpness and eye for detail, you double check everything. You own the administrative processes, provide advice and support to our employees. You will closely collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and the rest of the People Team by being the expert in what you do! And if one of our processes are outdated, you are the person in charge of thinking strategically on how to improve it and of course, how to make it happen! You are also an ambassador of our values. You make sure we live up to them in our policies, collaboration and through our way of working.

Some of your favourite things to do are

  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve our processes in a more scalable and efficient way while keeping the personal Emakina touch
  • Work on different administrative tasks such as drafting contracts, offboarding procedures, making sure personnel files are up-to-date, etc.
  • Support with organizing logistics and facilitating onboarding of new employees in an interactive manner
  • Provide a listening ear to both new and existing employees

This is you in a nutshell

  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in preferably a scale up
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration or similar
  • You are curious, detail oriented, sharp
  • You are a friendly, empathetic, and easy-going person
  • You have experience with administrative processes on the operational side but also on a tactical level
  • You have experience with the Dutch labour market (e.g. knowledge Dutch labour law)
  • Knowledge of the Dutch language is a pre, but not mandatory

Your future team

The People Team consists of Marina (People Lead & Business Partner), Esther (People Officer) & Mylena (People Administrative Assistant). We work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, which consists of Lara (Lead Talent Acquisition), Elisabeth (Talent Acquisition Specialist), Laura (Tech Talent Acquisition Specialist), Thao (Talent Acquisition Specialist), Alice (Talent Acquisition Specialist), Damla (Talent Sourcing Specialist), Mert (Talent Sourcing Specialist) & Imaad (Talent Sourcing Specialist). We have regular catch ups to keep each other up-to-date, share knowledge and celebrate wins! Next to that, you’ll have weekly one-on-one meetings to work on your personal development.
