As a Market & User Insights Specialist you will be responsible for building our agency know-how, to take the next step in our ambition to become a true thought leader on relevant topics within digital design development.
As a Market & User Insight Specialist,
You will have a new role with a mix of operational tasks, tactical decision-making and building a strategic foundation. Your main focus is on generating insights for design purposes; insights that serve a broader purpose than a single project. You do this by 1. collecting and structuring what we know, have and dynamically generating as an agency and 2. searching, selecting, analyzing and synthesizing relevant external sources.
You accelerate our efforts to build an insights hub and create an easy-to-use repository system that all your colleagues can benefit from. It will cover multiple angles, from macro trends (in digital design and within industries), emerging players and/ or innovations to specific marketing and platform topics and best practices.
In this role, you will be responsible for a full range of activities: from reaching out to colleagues, exploring tools for insights and external sources, finding, synthesizing and prioritizing information, creating reports and presentations, and sharing back into the organization. You will be managing the research needs and expectations of your colleagues and will develop effective internal working relationships.
Who are you?
First and foremost you love research, with a strong focus on the word search. You are a desk research expert, but also familiar with primary research and able to interpret data and qualitative results.
To convert all findings and insights into a pragmatic system, you have to be structured and accurate. You know how to work towards a bigger picture, but never lose sight of the details. To be successful, you need to have a strong affinity with digital design. Everything we do has to tie in with our core business in one way or another.
Who you’ll be working with
You will become part of the Design Insights team, a small but fast-growing team that focuses on both primary and secondary insights, on qualitative and quantitative findings and on research projects directly for clients and user-centered design processes, as well as a broader market knowhow.
Your experience so far has been:
- Around 3 years of relevant work experience (or more!), for example as a market researcher or UX designer. We are open to junior, but also medior and senior people;
- About managing research objectives, design, implementation, analysis and communication autonomously and resourcefully;
- Working with Repository tooling, like Dovetail, ProductBoard and/ or Sticktail
- Presenting and socializing research results across different departments at all levels of the organization (e.g. Service Design, UX Design, Delivery, Account, Sales)
- Being a central point of contact for suppliers in relevant domains (with regard to trend reports, sector analyses, tooling, etc.)
And you are able to:
- work from our Amsterdam office a few days a week (if the Covid situation allows)
- write clearly and easily in English. Dutch is an advantage (to be able to cover those information sources as well)
